Star Trek Theme Park In Aqaba

It turns out that our King Abdullah II, King of Jordan is a huge “Star Trek” fan. When he was prince, he had a nonspeaking role in Star Trek Voyager, Episode 35 back in 1995:
According to The National, an Abu Dhabi-based newspaper, a US$1.5 billion of funding has been secured for a major tourism and theme park development in Aqaba.
The Red Sea Astrarium, the planned 184-acre entertainment resort, will feature a “’Star Trek’-themed center that will deliver a variety of multi-sensory futuristic experiences, culminating with a state-of-the art space-flight adventure that takes real-time immersive entertainment experiences to bold new heights,” according to the developer, Rubicon Group Holding.

Randa S. Ayoubi, the CEO of Rubicon Group Holding (RGH), made the announcement about The Red Sea Astrarium at the first-ever Jordanian-American Business Forum, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Business leaders from both Jordan and the United States were on hand for the special signing ceremony in Amman, Jordan.
