We all fall under the definition of Mankind or Homo-Sapiens, but only few under Human. Humanity is what we judge others by. It is the drive for building a civilized society. Despite the major role of religion and politics in creating what is called Sub-Human, only few of societies managed to step upon it.

On a scale of good behaviour, you can measure yourself how human or savage you are. Savageness has many forms. Starts from killing and torturing fellow beings and ends at your self manner.

This video shows how scientists at the MIT Media Lab (www.media.mit.edu/) reconstruct a hidden object using scattered laser light. Future applications may include seeing in dangerous or inaccessible locations, such as inside machinery with moving parts, or in highly contaminated areas.

This is going to be a great enhancement for modern weaponry!

In May of 2011 Dima Moiseenko left for Venezuela to shoot the highest waterfall in the world – the Angel Falls.  The shooting took two days and was very complicated both in its technical aspect and because of the weather.  Dima shot the Angel Falls itself, a few neighboring waterfalls in tepuys and spheres over the gold mines on his way back.  Now we represent the first part of the shooting – a virtual tour in Venezuela over the Angel Falls’ surroundings, the Dragon and Cortina Falls as well as over the gold mines.

This panorama can be opened in two different resolutions. High resolution panorama with the best quality is about 7 Mb large and it is suitable for fast internet connections and modern computers. For slower internet and old weak computers we created the smaller low resolution panorama. Some small details have been  sacrificed but the size of low resolution panorama is nomore than 2 Mb.

Anyhow, here are few things I have experienced many times with different Apple machines and different OSX:

Crazy slow performance when Adobe:

I thought adobe for mac and mac for adobe but it is really not. Mac gets really slow when opening Ps or even video editing programs. So you better not to open any other programs while adobe program is on.

Takes ages to connect to local area network on start up:

I’ve got few programs that runs at startup time like iChat, Mail and Web browser. Since OSX takes long time to connect to LAN and getting an address from the router, and no its not a router issue, Mail fails to connect like the rest of the programs. So I have to wait few seconds and try refreshing the programs again.

Awkward keyboard mapping for Arabic Language:

Compared with other keyboards (Microsoft, Logistic, Dell…etc), Apple keyboard has the same English keyboard layout standard. But they messed up the Arabic layout for reasons I have not asked about :@

Lame Mouse Design:

What kind of lame design is this? This mouse is not suitable for programers, gamers, surfers, business or old-people. The only thing you can use this mouse for is to look how nice it looks.
The benefit of this mouse is:
The pros:
* Looks nice.

The cons:
* Not suitable for programers, gamers, surfers, business nor old-people.
* Sore mouse fingers.
* No third click where you can combine left and right click together.
* You can not left click while holding right click.
* Unnecessary slide scrolling which it gets very annoying sometimes so you have to disable it.
* Super sensitive scroll even sometimes it just don’t respond.
* High power consumption.
* You need a wired mouse to connect the wireless mouse because sometimes the system fails to find it via bluetooth connection.

OSX does not provide embedded utilities:

Because I’m a linux user and use the shell a lot. OSX fails giving me the ability to control things so I use the Terminal to do my things or of course you have to buy Apps

Really Apple!!!! A flash game able to get your kernel panic? I play this game on Fedora Linux on my A200 laptop and on my desktop machine that runs windows, I’ve never got such WTH error. Kernel Panic usually shows up on serious problems such as hardware failures. I’m not really sure but maybe this flash game been implemented badly and able to heat up the processor :S

Switching between programs:

I got this screen for the third time now while switching between programs using cmd+tab when full screen. no comment.

I’ve got Toshiba Satellite A200 with age like super deluxe features and now I’m having two problems: Heat and broken screen joints which I think they cracked because of the super heat. I tried to fixed them but in vein. Its either a new joints or new laptop……or none ^^
